St. George's University (SGU), founded in 1976 on the island of Grenada, is one of the most recognized medical universities in the Caribbean. Its Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is accredited under standards comparable to those in the United States, giving graduates direct access to the U.S. medical licensing exam (USMLE) and the residency match process.
